Sourdough course

Join us for a pleasant and educational evening at La Cabra's bakery in Aarhus, where you will be guided in making your own bread, leavened with sourdough. We’ll take you through our whole process, from feeding the sourdough to a finished loaf of bread, with a focus on giving you the best opportunity to succeed in creating your own sourdough loaves at home.
What is included
- A 4.5 hour course in baking with sourdough.
- Your loaf to take home in a proofing basket, ready to bake the following day.
- A proofing basket, sourdough starter and samples.
- Competent and experienced instructors.
- Personal guidance and time for questions.
- A written guide to aid in your continued practice at home.
- Coffee, tea, apple juice and water throughout the evening.
- Small servings of bread, cheese and charcuterie, and samples of various baked goods.
Practical information
- Remember to book the experience in your desired language. You can choose between English and Danish
- Remember to bring your booking confirmation as this is your receipt
- La Cabra Bakery reserves the right to conduct the course exclusively with a minimum of 6 participants. If changes or cancellations occur, you will of course be notified by email or phone
- Feel free to wear non-slip footwear
- Feel free to bring a large bag to transport things home
- You must be at least 16 years old to participate
- Parking in an underground car park at the rear entrance of La Cabra Bakery is available for an additional fee

About La Cabra Bakery
Our bakery is the perfect complement to our philosophy in our coffee bars. Excellent quality coffee should be accompanied and elevated by the finest bread and pastries, something we have aimed for at home in Aarhus for nearly 10 years now.
High quality raw material is the driver in our bakeries just as in the roastery. We aim to build relationships with the millers, farmers and artisans that deliver our flour, grains, fruits and more, working together to showcase their quality in the most delicious way possible.
Over the past few years, we have expanded our philosophy in baking internationally, serving fine bread and pastries alongside our seasonal coffees in Aarhus, New York and Muscat, with new projects on the way soon.
